Amanda Bynes Signs Two Film Deal
Amanda Bynes has grown up a lot since Nickelodeon's "The Amanda Show." The actress has recently signed a two-picture contract with Screen Gems, reports Variety magazine. President Clint Culpepper said Bynes is set to star in the comedy "Easy A." Culpepper also noted that the company would script a second movie for Bynes.
"Easy A" will star Emma Stone as the victim of a high school rumor regarding her virginity. Bynes will play the classic high school queen been, a la Regina George in "Mean Girls." Playwright Bert V. Royal wrote the comedy and Zanne Devine and Will Gluck are producing.
"She's one of the few who can make that graceful transition from kid to adult star because she has such strong comic chops," Culpepper said of the comedic actress.
Let's just hope this high school movie doesn't turn Bynes into the next Lindsay Lohan. Remember how awesome she was in "Mean Girls?"
