'The Amazing Race' recap - 'I cannot deal with your psycho behavior'

['The Amazing Race' - Season 18 Episode 8]

Varanasi, India. The teams received clues to fly to Vienna, Austria and find the 2012 Ford Focus in the parking lot. The teams were instructed to look clued in to look for a travel agent so each of the teams got to the few travel agents that were open at two in the morning. Kisha & Jen talked about how close they were as sisters and they couldn't be upset with each other. Mallory was worried about being eliminated again on the same leg. The cowboys were worried about making more mistakes so they wanted to be more cautious this leg.

Vyxsin tried to explain that they are the only couple left racing and they have a different energy. Flight Time & Big Easy decided to get a connecting set of flights that got to Vienna at 5:35 in the morning. Eventually all the teams got similar flights except for the cowboys. The cowboys worried about the idea of connections, but they decided to take a safer, but later flight. Kent complained about money and started bickering. The Goths started to bicker some more and Vyxsin complained that their bickering was tacky.

All of the teams got the same flight out to Delhi except for the Cowboys, who hoped that either they had a heads up or a 30 minute disadvantage. The flight at 5:35 was successfully touched down first without any issues. Kent & Vyxsin got the clue off of their car and played a video from Phil. He explained that the winners of this leg would get the 2012 Ford Focus. The cars would back up and it had the clue painted on the floor. Kent & Vyxsin bickered as the other teams got the clue "Schloss Schallaburgh" before them. Unfortunately Gary & Mallory couldn't figure out how to get the clue.

At 6:00AM the cowboys arrived but Gary & Mallory couldn't figure out the clue. After watching the video over, Gary & Mallory realized their mistake and headed out before the Cowboys. Zev & Justin decided to go to the gas station; they were followed by Kent & Vyxsin and Kisha & Jen. Flight Time & Big Easy stopped by a hotel and got print-outs. Gary & Mallory got the directions from the same gas station as all the other teams but instead of going inside Jet & Cord, asked the gas attendant. Zev started to complain about the cold weather, but the two made it to the castle and found a clue to go to the National Library; they were followed by Kisha & Jen and Kent & Vyxsin. The other teams made it to the castle before Jet & Cord. They got confused staring at the seal but kept racing.

Kent & Vyxsin started to drive and bicker as they always do, but Zev & Justin and Kisha & Jen made it inside before and found the Detour. The choices were Long Hard Walk [Associated with Sigmund Freud, racers had to transport an analyst's couch a mile away] or Quick and Easy Meal [Ride the Weiner Risenard and eat all the food given to them in 12 minutes]. Zev & Justin decided to get the food and Kisha & Jen followed them. Gary & Mallory decided to try the food. Kisha & Jen and Zev & Justin got on the train. Flight Time & Big Easy decided to take a pee break on the National Library as Kent & Vyxsin ran past; they decided to go for the couch. Kisha & Jen's timer went off as the violinist started to play music. Zev & Justin followed and started to sweat as they ate. At six minutes, both teams started to run out of steam. Kent & Vyxsin started to struggle with the couch. Kisha & Jen ran out of time, so they decided to go for the couch. Zev & Justin ran out of time as well and decided to switch tasks. They passed Gary & Mallory who started eating; Mallory hell-bent on winning.

Flight Time & Big Easy didn't know the connection of the couch and Freud but headed out. The Globetrotters set their dolly and kept going; Kent & Vyxsin didn't use the provided dolly and lugged the couch. The cowboys went to the library and got their clue. They decided to go for the couch. Twelve minutes passed, and Gary managed to eat his portion but Mallory couldn't finish hers. Gary & Mallory headed out as the Cowboys caught up. Kent & Vyxsin carried the couch constantly taking breaks; Kisha & Jen successfully used the dolly even though part of the blanket was getting caught. The Globetrotters almost got run over by a car. Kisha & Jen's dolly was getting caught, so they lifted their bed and headed out.

Cowboys started to catch up, seeing Zev & Justin; the first team they've seen since India. The Globetrotters slipped lightly but recovered and got their clue to drive to Salzburg to get their next clue. Kent started to whine about every little issue involving the couch. Justin did most of the work while Zev carried a few pillows. Gary & Mallory were last but they dragged their couch via the dolly and didn't expend as much energy as the Goths. Kent & Vyxsin struggled with the couch, but got their clue second. They passed Kisha & Jen who left in third. Zev & Justin struggled as the Cowboys caught up. Zev & Justin went up in the wrong direction as the Cowboys got their clue. Zev & Justin realized that they went upstairs they didn't need to and got the clue in fifth. Gary & Mallory were last and started running.

Flight Time & Big Easy left first, excited knowing the number of cars they passed, but Kent & Vyxsin were lost driving. Zev & Justin passed the Cowboys driving and hoped that the Cowboys didn't see them. At Salzburg, the Globetrotters got the clue for a Roadblock to sweep a chimney. As Big Easy got changed, Zev started to worry about the roadblock because he knew he had to take the roadblock to keep balance. Kisha & Jen and the Goths got to the roadblock and all they had to do was three passes in the chimney. Flight Time waited as Big Easy finished successfully and got the next clue. Zev started as the Globetrotters headed to the pit stop: Villa Trapp. Zev followed the instructions and got the clue easily while Kisha worried about her arm strength as Zev & Justin finished and looked for directions. The Globetrotters got directions from a taxi as Kisha and Vyxsin got their clues and headed out.

The Cowboys arrived in fifth at the roadblock. The Globetrotters looked around confused as Zev & Justin drove around, Zev & Justin arrived and they were in first place and won the 2012 Ford Focuses that they were driving the leg. The Globetrotters were in second. Kisha & Jen got lost and asked for directions as Kent & Vyxsin inched closer. Cord finished before Gary could even start. Mallory was worried that they were last. Kisha & Jen got lost so Kent & Vyxsin finished in third.

Mallory resorted to prayer as Gary finished. The Cowboys and Jen & Kisha were inches from each other, but the Sisters finished before the Cowboys. Gary & Mallory arrived last but were given good news: Phil announced a non-elimination leg. They had to deal with a Speed Bump next leg.
