'The Amazing Race' recap: 'This Is Where It Ends (Brazil & Florida)'

[The Amazing Race - Season 18 Episode 11]

It's been eleven episodes for eleven teams but we are finally down to the final four teams. The teams left snowy Switzerland for sunny Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. They would then take a special tram to Escadaria Selaron. The Globetrotters were nervous about getting past this leg because this was their elimination last time they raced. Kisha & Jen also were eliminated this leg, but they were more concerned about survival than getting a first place finish.

Gary & Mallory were excited about going to Brazil and they joked around about women being men with the Globetrotters. Zev & Justin made the same train and while Jen & Kisha and Gary & Mallory went directly to a travel agent, the Globetrotters and Zev & Justin gathered the same information that they could arrive at 7:30am the next day. The other two teams got tickets that showed an arrival time of 5:40pm. Gary & Mallory decided to talk to British Airways agent and they were quickly followed by Kisha & Jen. All four teams ended up on the same exact flight that arrived at 7:30am.

In Brazil, the teams ran through the huddles of the airport with Kisha & Jen and Zev & Justin heading out first. The Globetrotters and Gary & Mallory ended up in the back of the pack. Eventually, Gary & Mallory overtook the Globetrotters via a good taxi. The first two teams arrived before the tram left, but Gary & Mallory managed to make it on before the Globetrotters. All the other teams left, leaving the Globetrotters with a 30 minute disadvantage. With money on the line, the Globetrotters begged for the tram to return but they wouldn't move.

The first three teams made a run for the famous steps and saw multitudes of tiles. Zev & Justin found the first tile that told the racers to find the plaza de San Francisco and soon afterward the other two teams got the clue, headed to a taxi and went to their next clue before the Globetrotters even arrived. The teams received their Roadblock clue, hinting that they would be "Shaking in their boots." The teams had to learn the Samba and lead a group and satisfy a judge with their dancing. Zev took the roadblock to balance out the team's roadblocks. Zev tried his best to learn as Mallory took the roadblock task; Mallory was learning the steps quickly. Kisha & Jen were dropped off in the wrong area and they had images of getting lost in China.

The Globetrotters finally got their tile and headed out while Mallory learned the steps and went first. Mallory was all smiles and she easily got the "Sim" card. They headed to Copacabana to look for their next clue. Zev's first attempt was unsuccessful. Kisha & Jen arrived and Kisha took the task, Jen was happy that Kisha had some rhythm.

Gary & Mallory got the clue that both members had to undergo a 15-minute body waxing session. Gary yelped in fear but the two thought about how Zev & Justin would be so hairy. Zev and Kisha both attempted the roadblock by the judge but Zev failed and Kisha succeeded. They headed out as the Globetrotters arrived, leaving Justin worried about survival.

Gary & Mallory were first to choose their detours which was either On the Rocks (Learn to make a mixed drink and make 100 of them) or On the Beach (Convince people to buy Bikini tops). Gary & Mallory headed to On the Rocks as Big Easy was ready for learning the steps for the roadblock. Although Zev struggled, he finally got the clue. Big Easy didn't do the final kick right and had to do the task a second time. At the beach, Gary & Mallory started to make their mixes, but they continued to mess up the mixing sequence.

Kisha & Jen got their fifteen minute wax as Zev & Justin got lost in their cab. The Globetrotters arrived and got their wax while Kisha & Jen were still there. Gary & Mallory finally got five drinks done and found them in a groove. The sisters left and chose On the Rocks. The Globetrotters left and chose to mix drinks as well. Zev & Justin were all screams as their hair was being removed.

The sisters arrived and Jen had previous experience as a bartender and it came to her advantage; several of her drinks were accepted before Kisha got one accepted. The Globetrotters arrived and took the station behind Gary & Mallory. With fifteen minutes done, Zev & Justin left, not completely hairless and a bit upset. The teams started to get their rhythm shaking drinks as Zev & Justin begged people to buy swimsuits. They were continuously rejected as Gary & Mallory got closer to 100 drinks. They finished in first and got their clue to go to the Museum of Contemporary Art, their pitstop. They hopped into a taxi and headed out.

While Kisha & Jen and the Globetrotters continued to mix drinks, Zev & Justin quit their original detour task and switched to doing the drinks. Gary & Mallory made some minor snafus finding the pitstop, but they made it to the pitstop in first. They won a Mediterranean cruise. Kisha & Jen finished as Zev & Justin arrived to switch the detours. The sisters arrived in second place. The Globetrotters were really excited as they finished their task, but Zev & Justin had no energy left. They made one final drink and toasted to their race. Flight Time & Big Easy finished in third place. Zev & Justin arrived, knowing they were last and eliminated.

Gary & Mallory were the first to leave and were instructed to fly to Miami, Florida to a marina stadium to find their next clue. The team ran for a taxi and headed out. They talked about how they have luck on their side. The sisters discussed their single mother and hoped that they could better their position. They pointed out that the final leg provided the teams with $354.

The Globetrotters got a taxi to the airport and Gary & Mallory were the first to get tickets. They were quickly followed by Kisha & Jen and the Globetrotters. They all got the same flight and the Globetrotters decided to check their bags, as did the sisters, in hopes that they could save some weight. All three teams arrived at Miami at the same time so it was up to running through the airport. The Globetrotters and Sisters got taxis quickly, but Gary & Mallory struggled with getting a taxi, but eventually headed out with Mallory's begging.

There was a taxi race between the sisters and the Globetrotters, but Gary & Mallory took a lighter approach and were very friendly with their driver. The sisters & the Globetrotters got the roadblock to master boat transport. Kisha and Flight Time took the final roadblock; the two had some lessons in driving the large forklift and eventually headed out with the instructors screaming directions. Gary & Mallory were still in the taxi as Kisha and Big Easy attempted to get their forks onto boats. Both teams were successful in getting their boats; while Mallory was almost in tears with the bad taxi driver. Big Easy finished before Kisha and headed to Key Largo. The sisters left before Gary & Mallory could even know where the marina stadium was. They stopped and found directions.

The Globetrotters and Kisha & Jen were on their way to Jules' Undersea Lodge. Gary took the final Roadblock and Mallory hoped that Gary's previous experience with forklifts would help. Gary looked like he was doing a decent job. The Globetrotters headed to their second Roadblock to look for a clue through a Bob Dive. Big Easy took the roadblock, with Jen quickly behind her. Jen had flashes of China and the deep sea. Big Easy and Jen got into their Bob Dives and the teams were amazed by the mermaids and the band.

Gary finished the roadblock and headed towards the undersea lodge. Underwater, the two teams continued to look for their clue as Gary & Mallory inched closer. Big Easy finally got his clue before Jen to look for Mile Marker 29. Jen finally got her clue near the band and they headed out as the Globetrotters lost their taxi. After running for the taxi both the Globetrotters and Kisha & Jen got directions and headed out. Gary & Mallory arrived and Mallory got the final Roadblock. Mallory thought everything was strange underwater.

Kisha & Jen got the clue to go to Horseshoe Island but the two had to walk across the shallow part of the ocean. The sisters were on the island as the Globetrotters inched closer. The sisters then got a clue to take a high-speed boat to go back to the Marina Stadium. The Globetrotters got the clue as both teams ran for shore. Mallory finally got her clue and headed out to Big Pine Key, but their driver, of course, didn't know anything. The sisters got onto their speedboat as they darted to the marina with the Globetrotters behind them. Gary & Mallory started to go across the ocean as Kisha & Jen cowered under towels.

Kisha & Jen headed to Galway Bay to their next clue, they had to decorate a trailer. They grabbed their trailer and headed down the marked path. Flight Time & Big Easy quickly followed. Kisha & Jen were in D-10, the Globetrotters were in C-8. Gary & Mallory were on the speedboat hoping to gain time. There was a lot of wind causing trouble for both teams. The retired community laughed at their silly task. Gary & Mallory got to their clue as they grabbed their trailer and headed to D-12. Kisha & Jen didn't have their table right and the Globetrotters were still wrong. Gary & Mallory arrived as the other two teams were nervous about the whole situation.

Gary & Mallory quickly caught up with teams as the wind started to upset the teams. Kisha finally found the last condiment and they headed out to the seven-mile bridge. The Globetrotters were upset and looked at the sister's trailer. The Globetrotters realized that it was the table that was the issue and got their clue. Though this upset Gary & Mallory, the two continued to hustle. The sisters got on two tricycles and headed out. They were followed by the Globetrotters. Kisha continued to have issues with her bike and the wind. The Globetrotters looked like they weren't having any trouble with wind. Gary & Mallory finally got their clue and headed out. The wind became an issue to pedal for Jen so she started running. The two sisters finally started to make up speed, but Big Easy started to quit and realized that the sisters were just too far ahead. Kisha & Jen made the final run and won the race and the million dollars. For the second season in a row, an all-female team won. They dedicated their win to their mother. The Globetrotters arrived in second. They were happy to be racing. Gary & Mallory arrived and Mallory was so proud of her father.
