[The Amazing Race - Season 18 Episode 9]

Salzburg, Austria. The racers left from the Villa Trapp early in the morning. After some shameless Ford Focus advertising, Zev & Justin were the first to find out that they had to take a train and taxi to Lichtenstein. They were warned that a double U-Turn will be on this leg. Zev & Justin felt happy with multiple wins, but Zev was still worried that Justin was doing all the work. Zent & Vyxsin admitted to being whiny with each other, but hoped to be positive, though the last leg they tried the positive mantra, they melted down almost immediately.

Gary & Mallory wanted to make sure they got through their speed bump as quickly as possible. All the teams arrived at the station and made it to the same train. Kisha & Jen and Flight Time & Big Easy had some mingle time on the train, but with morning hitting, Gary & Mallory spent their time appreciating the scenery. The racers reached Feldkirch, Austria and made a run for taxis. The Cowboys got the first taxi while Kent & Vyxsin were last; Gary & Mallory have a driver with GPS issues, while Zev & Justin's driver started cutting corners after realizing they weren't terrorists.

The teams got the clue for the roadblock: measure Lichtenstein. The teams would have to do a 22Km ride and tell the answer to Marco Büchel. There were some initial issues with bikes, but Jen was the first one out and driving. While all the teams left, Gary & Mallory found their Speed Bump. They had to mix gas and oil to pump the Solex bikes that were being used for the Roadblock. They had to figure out a 25:1 ratio of gas to oil and while Gary realized that the 2.5 was an option, he couldn't figure out what the one ratio point was.

Jet missed his turn, Flight Time was decently turning at the right points, and Jen dropped her map. Gary realized that he should use the two liter to proportion the gasoline. They got the puzzle correctly and Gary headed out for the Roadblock. Gary started to drive as fast as possible and met Jet. After asking for directions Jet had almost 17km while Gary had 10km. Jen bumped into Justin and the two solved the map issue. Justin arrived first and guessed 22km; Jen followed and got the next clue. While Vyxsin was confused and lost, Gary stopped and asked for directions. Jet bumped into Marco but guessed 35km. He was incorrect and headed back.

Flight Time passed Jeta and both were confused looking for their directions. Justin and Jen arrived at the castle meet-up and were instructed to head to Zermatt, Switzerland. They would find the next clue at the train station. They passed Flight Time and both Justin and Jen told Flight Time the answer was 22km. On the bus, both teams admitted to not telling any other teams. Flight Time passed Gary and explained the answer. Flight Time and Gary got the correct answer, they were followed by Vyxsin, though it's not explained whether or not Vyxsin got the right answer from Gary or if she figured it out herself.

Kisha & Jen and Zev & Justin made the first train before the other teams made it to the meeting point. Cord was stuck waiting as the other teams were on the bus. Jet finally arrived for the second time and got the correct number and the instructions to head to the castle. Flight Time & Big Easy, Gary & Mallory, and Kent & Vyxsin got on a train as Jet & Cord boarded a bus.

Night hit at Zermatt as the first two teams found their detour. Their choices were Cheese (Eat a whole bowl of cheese fondue) or Wheeze (Deliver 20 pieces of luggage and get the correct tags). Zev & Justin considered cheese, but were worried about the last leg's unsuccessful eating challenge; Kisha & Jen decided to do cheese as well. Both teams saw the large bowl of cheese and with reservation decided to start eating. Kisha still had an upset stomach and decided to switch tasks, but Zev convinced Justin to stay.

Kisha & Jen got into their bellhop outfits and picked three different tags and headed out. Zev powered through eating in the beginning while Kisha & Jen got decent directions. The second train arrived as Kisha & Jen got three bag tags. Zev continued to burp constantly and while it was funny at first, the teams started to stress out. Flight Time & Big Easy got 20 bags while Kent whined about the bag packing and driving skills; the team got decent directions and headed out. Kisha & Jen got another four bags at Astoria. Kent & Vyxsin got seven bags; Flight Time & Big Easy got another four.

Kisha & Jen arrived while Gary & Mallory were still packing their bags. Justin hit the wall while eating, but Zev tried his best to eat. Justin then proceeded to vomit. They were 35 minutes into the eating challenge and Kisha & Jen passed by Justin and realized they had time to catch up.

The third train arrived and Jet & Cord started on Wheeze. Kisha & Jen finished as the Cowboys started. Almost an hour after starting, Zev & Justin finally finished. The teams ran for the double U-Turn. Kent & Vyxsin bickered about bags but were six bags away from finishing. Both Gary & Mallory and the Cowboys got their hotels circled on the map. Zev & Justin decided not to U-Turn any team. The teams got an electric taxi to Moos Restaurant, the Pitstop. Kisha & Jen decided not to U-Turn any teams either.

Zev & Justin finished in first place and won a trip to Curacao; their fourth win of the race. Kisha & Jen followed. All the other teams continued to look for hotels. Jet & Cord started to catch up to Gary & Mallory, but Kent & Vyxsin got their 20 tags. Vyxsin decided to drag Kent in the cart because of his ankle complaints. Flight Time & Big Easy made the mistake of picking the wrong hotel with two wrong bags. Gary & Mallory passed Jet & Cord. Kent & Vyxsin already used their U-Turn on Jamie & Cara. Gary & Mallory finished in fourth and the Globetrotters were in fifth, but they were missing two tags.

The Globetrotters checked their pockets, but couldn't find anything. They decided to grab two more bags and head out. The cowboys were inching closer to get their clue. Kent & Vyxsin arrived in third and couldn't U-Turn any teams. Gary & Mallory were in fourth and decided not to U-Turn anyone. The Globetrotters and the Cowboys got their final tags as Kent & Vyxsin and Gary & Mallory checked in to the pitstop. The Globetrotters got their clue and headed to the double U-Turn. While the Globetrotters couldn't find decent directions, the Cowboys got good directions. The Globetrotters arrived first and decided to U-Turn the Cowboys and headed out. Jet & Cord arrived to the U-Turn board depressed about the cheese. The Globetrotters pointed out that they had a terrible racing day to Phil. The Cowboys finished the cheese detour and were eliminated.
