Amber Portwood behind bars for second Christmas in a row

First there was Jenelle Evans, and now Teen Mom’s Amber Portwood is living la vida loca in jail.

NBC News reported the 21-year-old will be spending Christmas behind bars after authorities found pills in her home.

Amber claimed the pills from an older prescription, but could not show proof of that order and was arrested and taken to jail.

According to E! News, Amber’s older brother, Shawn, said authorities came to her home after she missed a recent probation hearing.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Department told the website that she was arrested on a “probation violation” and will stay in jail until the courts decide her sentence.

"It's really sad because this will be her second Christmas in jail," Shawn said. Last year, Amber was infamously thrown in jail for domestic battery and neglect.

"We were really looking forward to seeing her because we didn't see her last year because she was in jail, and now that's not going to happen."

Shawn adds Amber was also “excited” to spend time with her family this holiday season.

"She told me she was so happy with her new boyfriend, that our mom really likes him and that she couldn't wait to introduce him to us,” he said.

Fortunately Amber’s 3-year-old daughter, Leah, wasn’t in the home when the arrest occurred. She is currently in Florida with her father, Gary Shirley, visiting Amber and Shawn’s father.
