Is America Burning Out On Sarah Palin?

Saturday Night Live's ratings suggest that the American people are indeed tired of Palin.

The latest "Saturday Night Live" special Thursday night edition suffered its worse ratings yet, even though Tina Fey did her famous Sarah Palin impression and Will Ferrell came back to play President Bush. The show's special, which was the last of the pre-election specials, was down to 8.5 million viewers for NBC.And though, in the context of NBC's 8:30 PM Thursday night show "Kath & Kim," which pulled in 5 million viewers, "SNL"'s performance seems good, it's down from last Saturday's Fey-Palin showdown. That show drew 14 million viewers, and the premiere of "SNL Weekend Update Thursday" drew 10 million viewers. But while the "experts" are writing that America may be getting sick of Palin, "SNL" or Fey's impression, the thing to watch is the amount of YouTube views the Ferrell-Fey sketch receives.Because it has been shown that the sketches from the election become viral on YouTube, and that's how most Americans consume "SNL." Not actually watching the show, which might seem a bit crazy, but entirely true.
