America Celebrates Independence

America celebrates its independence all over the country.

What better way to celebrate the freedom from years of oppression and aristocracy then to have a parade, equipped with fireworks of course. Growing up in America, Independence Day has always been a happy and carefree time to enjoy time with family and friends. Barbeques, parades, block parties and fireworks are all things that scream 4th of July, this year is no different. Festivities are planned all over the country as we celebrate the 231st year of the birth of our nation. It has been a long running tradition that immigrants be granted citizenship on this day in special ceremonies throughout the country. In Orlando, Florida, Walt Disney World is hosting an event called Dreams Come True," This ceremony will pronounce citizenship to 1000 people near Cinderella's castle, accompanied by singers Gloria Estefan and Lee Greenwood. Boston will grant citizenship aboard the USS Constitution, the Navy's oldest commissioned warship. Washington is celebrating with a parade on Constitution Avenue and a concert on the West Lawn of the Capitol by National Symphony Orchestra and a fireworks show. In New York, Macy's will be host to the countries biggest fireworks display with innovative and grand scale pyrotechnics.Due to dry weather conditions some areas, including parts of Colorado and Washington State, are not permitted to use fireworks.
