American Idol Contestant Going Back to Rehab

Jessica Sierra, a past contestant on American Idol, has been sentenced to a year of rehab.

Things cannot get much worse for past American Idol singer Jessica Sierra. Her mother died of an overdose when Sierra was auditioning for the show, she's been to rehab once for three weeks, she's spent the last month in jail, she's pregnant, and now she is to be sent back to rehab for a year.

After inappropriate, intoxicated behavior at an Ybor City nightclub in Florida, Dec. 1, Sierra, 22, was arrested and charged with disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest, reported Tampa Bay's 10 News.

Monday, Judge Daniel Perry sentenced Sierra to one year of rehab at Pasadena Recovery Center, in California, and two years of probation.

Sierra was a part of a rehab reality show last summer on VH1's Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. Dr. Drew Pinksy admitted, "... she is so addicted to drugs and alcohol that her life is at risk," reported My Fox Tampa Bay.

Judge Perry warned Sierra not to use rehab for furthering her career and that she should be focusing on avoiding possible future prison time.
