'American Idol': Didn't We Just Do This?
Fox sure doesn't waste any time when it comes to filling the spots for the next season of "American Idol." Kris Allen has hardly had time to bask in his "Idol" glory and the network is already planning to crown another star. According to Entertainment Weekly, audition dates for the upcoming season have been announced.
June 14 will mark the beginning of the ninth season of the show in Boston's Gillette stadium. There are many rounds of auditions so this does not mean a new show will be broadcast immediately, although filming for the casting episodes will begin.
The other cities that will host hoards of hopefuls will be Atlanta, Los Angeles, Orlando, Denver, Chicago and Dallas. The judges that presided over the ninth season will be present at the audition locations, reports RealityWorld.com.
There has been much speculation as to who will be returning. Both Paula Abdul and Kara DioGuardi have been dealing with rumors of one or both being dispelled from the show.
