'American Idol' is looking for Jennifer Lopez's possible replacement

Jennifer Lopez's indecisiveness about returning to American Idol may cost her a place on the show's judging panel.

Lopez has not yet made a definitive decision over whether she will be returning to the show for season 11. Because of her success on Idol, audiences are unsure why she has not already signed back on.

According to In Touch, Marc Anthony, Lopez's husband, may be dissuading her from continuing the show because he wants her to spend more time with their children.

PopEater points at Lopez's lower wage as a possibility for her stalling. In comparison to Simon Cowell's massive $35 million contract, Lopez makes a mere $12 million.

Producers and music executives are baffled at this indecision, as they understand that Idol has helped her tremendously. "Idol has resurrected her much-stalled music career," a record executive told PopEater.

Lopez explained her thought process to the BBC, saying, "I loved Idol, but I have a lot of other things happening, and it's going to come down to me making a choice of what I want to do for the next year ... We're not really at the breaking point of 'You have to make a decision right now!'"

Rumor has it that Shakira and Shania Twain are in the running if J.Lo backs out.
