American Idol Strikes a Deal with Apple
Are you obsessed with American Idol? Can you not get enough of the singers' performances? Well, if you are, or you can't, don't worry about setting your VCR or using your tape recorder, American Idol has made a deal with Apple iTunes.
Starting this week, anyone can download the contestants' performances, for 99 cents each. These songs will be compatible with music players that work with iTunes. And once America widdles down the contestants to 12, videos of the performances will be available for $1.99. Performances will also be available for pre-order.
According to Variety, the new relationship between Apple and American Idol will not stop there. Apple will sponsor American Idol videos played on Fox's website. Apple's iPhone will also become the official phone of American Idol.
