Casey Abrams, from the 10th season of American Idol, has recently been signed with Concord Music Group.
While finishing sixth place on American Idol, Abrams is the sixth performer from that series to hold a contract.
Abrams' disappointment from being voted off of Idol during the semi-finals seems far out of mind now, as he sings of his record deal on YouTube through his video titled Signed!
In Abrams' video, posted Tuesday, he reassures fans that although he is a bit scared, he looks forward to producing catchy music that will be “pretty good.”
Abrams’ record deal gives him much to sing about, as he warns fans that they should prepare for him to blow their minds with his upcoming success.
According to USA Today, among the signed Idols from the 2011 season are Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, and James Durbin, who have already released albums.
Abrams now joins them as well as Haley Reinhart and Pia Toscano as the group of 2011 Idol contestants who have found success through their Idol experience.
With this successful season, it seems that the finalists of American Idol have just as much, if not more, of a success rate than previous Idol winners.
Abrams' label, Concord Music Group has a history of being primarily a producer of jazz music, however, it is also the record label of Paul McCartney.
