America's Got Talent Returns
America's Got Talent is returning to the air, but to keep up with "Britain's Got Talent," the U.S. version is going to need more than talent.
The drama surrounding Susan Boyle is still making headlines here and in Britain and she was only the runner-up.
Drama sells and we are going to be hard pressed to top the Boyle media sensation. Couple that with a caustic Simon Cowell actually issuing an apology for how she was handled during stressful times, and we may just have to throw in the towel and take second place.
The 48-year-old star from West Lothian has a huge following and unstable health at the moment. Citing exhaustion, Boyle has let her fans down by missing four of "Britain's Got Talent" stage shows last week, according to the Mirror.
Dancer Jordan Banjo from the group, Diversity, who beat her in the TV final, said, "Susan is the main attraction here on the tour everyone wants to see her. When she's singing I just stand at the side of the stage and watch her sing she's amazing," reported the Mirror.
According to MSNBC, "America's Got Talent" lost some of its drama when host Jerry Springer was replaced by Nick Cannon. The season premiere here in America is June 23, 10 p.m. on A&E. Calling all potential Susan Boyles, your country needs you.
