'America's Got Talent': Week 11, Part 1

The semifinals began on Tuesday.

America's Got Talent aired performances from ten of the top 20 acts on Tuesday.

Host Nick Cannon welcomed judges Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and David Hasselhoff to the panel before introducing the contestants on stage.

The first act to vie for America's votes was Acro Dunk, a group who likes to be called "backyard tumblers." The basketball players performed tricks on trampolines before shooting every basket. A couple of the hoops were lit on fire.

Morgan said the performance was "absolutely unbelievable. That has to be one of the most thrilling, exciting, dynamic, dangerous, entertaining things I've ever seen on the show."

The Texas Tenors, a trio who mixes opera with country, were next to perform. Their version of "Unchained Melody" impressed Osbourne, especially when one of the tenors gave her eye contact throughout the performance. Hasselhoff said they were the "frontrunners of the competition."

Paradizo Dance continued to shock the audience when the husband of the pair lifted his wife in the air with various tricks. Osbourne called it "lighthearted and funny" but the judges wanted the couple to go back to its romantic style.

The magician act called Drew Thomas Magic performed some basic disappearing acts. "I'm afraid the only disappearing act we're going to see, Drew, is you off the show," Morgan said. Hasselhoff and Osbourne liked the performance.

A man, Tony Hoard, and his dog, Rory, took their flying disk-throwing tricks to the next level by performing with backup dancers and hula hoops. Morgan said the performance was much better than Hoard's previous one.

The Voices of Glory, a trio of kid siblings with beautiful singing voices, gave a rendition of Mariah Carey's "Anytime You Need a Friend." Hasselhoff said they "could bring the world together," but Morgan had positive feedback for only the female singer.

Five sisters that combine river dance with tap dancing make up an act called The Fab Five. They danced in marching band outfits to Destiny's Child's "Lose My Breath" on Tuesday. The judges overall enjoyed the performance.

Grandma Lee, an elder woman who specializes in stand-up comedy, brought smiles to the judges' faces. "You funny. I don't care how old you are," Hasselhoff said.

An adolescent dancer named Arcadian Broad brought a female partner and backup dancers to the stage, all wearing athletic clothing. They performed to "We're All in This Together" from "High School Musical." Morgan did not believe that Broad will not make it to the finals based on his dancing ability and how well the previous acts had done.

Kevin Skinner, a singer and guitar player from Kentucky who catches chickens for a living, gave yet another heartfelt performance by singing "Always On My Mind." Morgan said Skinner has the ability to move the audience and said he was the judge's favorite.

"America's Got Talent" will reveal the results of who stays and who goes home on Wednesday.
