America's Got Talent: Week 7, Part 2

Five of 12 acts made it to the semifinals.

America's Got Talent revealed the top five acts (for the first set of 12 acts) that the viewers voted for on Wednesday.

After recapping the 12 acts' performances from Tuesday, host Nick Cannon introduced judges Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and David Hasselhoff. After addressing Morgan's belief that AcroDunk did not make the last basket in the performance, Cannon proved the judge wrong by replaying it in slow motion.

While viewers voted for their favorite acts, the judges were responsible for putting one act through to the semifinals.

Between BreakSk8 and AcroDunk, the latter moved on while the former went home. A member of BreakSk8 said they had "an amazing experience" on the show. To help explain why AcroDunk made the top 20, Morgan called the basket-shooting acrobats' act "very exciting" that contains a sense of "danger."

Terri Fator, ventriloquist and winner of last season's show, arrived on stage to perform with two puppets including a rocker puppet that sang "Sweet Home Alabama."

Next, Drew Thomas Magic received more votes than Lake Houston Dance and Manuela Horn, sending those two acts home. Osbourne called Thomas's act "pure magic."

The third act to move on was Kevin Skinner, who faced off against Mosaic and sent the a capella group home. Hasselhoff said Skinner deserves to be on the show.

Mariah Carey then made a special appearance to sing her new single "Obsessed." "That song is about me," Cannon said while joining his wife on stage.

Grandma Lee was next to make the top 20. The stand-up comedian won over the Platt brothers and the Diva League. "This moment means everything to me," the teary-eyed contestant said.

Lastly, teenagers Arcadian Broad and Thia Megia faced the judges' decision of who would go on. While Morgan voted for Megia and Osbourne for Broad, Hasselhoff broke the tie by putting Broad through.
