America's Got Talent: Week 8, Part 1
On "America's Got Talent," another 10 of the top 40 contestants and two wild card acts performed for America on Tuesday.
The Fab Five, a female tap dancing quintet, performed first for the audience. All three judges -- Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and David Hasselhoff -- enjoyed the performance. Hasselhoff called the women "blazing mamas."
Charles DeWayne, singer, followed with "Just the Two of Us" on the piano. Osbourne said she wished DeWayne sang a more upbeat song, while Morgan had only positive feedback.
Carol Loo, an old woman who wowed the crowd with her dance moves during the audition, performed on Tuesday with backup dancers. Morgan, who hit the buzzer halfway through the performance, did not think the act was worth $1 million. Hasselhoff and Osbourne believed otherwise.
Tony Hoard and his dog, Rory, arrived on stage with flying disk tricks, but the dog dropped a few of them. With that, Morgan hit the buzzer again, calling Hoard's throwing "terrible." Osbourne and Hasselhoff acknowledged Hoard and Rory's efforts.
Eleisha Miller, a 9-year-old singer whom host Nick Cannon calls "a little girl with a big personality," sang and danced. The judges all criticized her vocal talent.
Paradizo Dance performed next, where a petite woman and heavyweight husband took turns lifting each other gracefully. The judges said the duo continues to surprise them.
Texas Tenors, three cowboy singers, sang their unique version of "God Bless the U.S.A." Morgan jokingly stood up and saluted after the performance and called the act "cheesy." Osbourne credited the tenors' looks, and Hasselhoff suggested they sing a ballad that would draw in women's votes.
SQ Entertainment danced to hip hop music and performed stunts for the audience. Osbourne called the act "mean," Hasselhoff said he did not know what the story was, and Morgan said the performance was better than the audition.
A Barack Obama impersonator, Pete Peterkin, also pretended to be Jamie Foxx by singing and playing the piano to Ray Charles's "Georgia." Morgan hit the buzzer while giving Peterkin feedback, while Osbourne and Hasselhoff said the performance was average.
Female triplets known as Alizma sang and played violin, but the judges stopped the performance with their buzzers after one of the girls gave an earsplitting falsetto. Obviously, the judges appreciated the sisters' violin playing but not their singing.
Stunt performers called Bale Street Flippers did more flips for the audience. The judges thought the act was boring and that the contestants should come up with something more interesting if they come back.
The final act of the night was a sibling singing trio, Voices of Glory. Hasselhoff thanked the kid singers for being on the show, while Osbourne and Morgan acknowledged the girl, Nadia, for her powerful vocal ability.
The show allowed voting to occur at the end. The viewers' votes will determine the top five acts that will move on to the next round. "America's Got Talent" will air on Wednesday with the results.
