America's Next Top Model: Acting Like a Model

Allison and Tahlia struggle with their acting skills. Most of the girls have trouble with the CoverGirl commercial.

The girls are hoping for a CoverGirl shoot soon (little do they know). Allison is worried that her face is a one note. Celia makes a funny horse smile to make an example of Allison's lack of emotion. The girls have an opportunity to sit down and had a big dinner together. Quickly drama occurs when Natalie sits around while all the rest of the girls clean. She tries to explain that she was just being sarcastic.

The girls quickly get upset and Natalie basically alludes that she is too rich for the ghetto girls. Aminat confronts her for her being a bitch. She figures that the best word to describe her is arrogant.

Tyra Mail. The letter involves being molded into clay. In the morning the girls arrive at Harlem Stage Theater. Paulina explains that the girls have to commit to acting. She parallels to the stage acting by showing that the models will have audition all the time. The girls have to say phrases to a different emotion. Aminat has the emotion bossy but she was too bitchy. Paulina sarcastically suggests the girls be face models. Both Tahlia and Allison had no real dedication to their phrases. Paulina corners Tahlia for not being emotional enough. For the challenge, Paulina gives the girls a script to study. London feels confident about her position.

Clay Aiken shows up as both their acting partner and judge. London is the most believable. Natalie had too much of an attitude. Tahlia looks like a bad high school actor. Celia was comedic, but a little overdramatic. The prize is $5,000 in clothes and Clay announces that London wins. The prize from Joe's Jeans makes London feel a little bit paranoid about her size and lets the other girls put on the jeans.

Tyra Mail. Do you play well with others? The girls are hoping that they have men in their shot. Allison is just hoping for a photoshoot. The girls arrive to McKey practicing her commercial. McKey's hair looks more believable a little longer. The challenge is a group CoverGirl commercial. There is a teleprompter to help the girls.

Teyona, Aminat, Celia, Allison – Allison is nervous. The girls practice in the bathroom. The audience is given the explanation of the commercial: it's a photoshoot where the camera represents a friend. Celia looks extremely old, Teyona doesn't look into the camera. Aminat gets ghetto. Allison struggles with the whole time and has the deer caught in headlights look. but the rest of the girls look nice in her commercial.

McKey asks some information about where the girls live. Natalie calls the rest of the girls hicks since she is the only one from California. McKey also tries her best to be helpful to Tahlia.

My Life As A Cover Girl – Sutan chills with McKey. They discuss the runway show project she's been doing. Sutan proceeds to put too much blue eyeshadow on her eyes.

Natalie, Fo, London, Tahlia - Tahlia is nervous while the rest of the girls practice. Natalie is excited and confident, but she gave a very average performance. Fo does decently, but Tahlia looks depressed during Fo's take. London was a little too aggressive and over-reactive. Tahlia stutters through her whole performance. She doesn't bring the high amount of energy. She then proceeds to bump into Fo.

The Tyra Mail warns about eliminations. Allison talks to Celia because she's worried about her face still. Celia was confident about the whole situation.

The girls arrive at judging and after introducing prizes and judges, Tyra introduces Clay Aiken as the judge. Celia is first and looks like a model. Her commercial is decent. Paulina points out her natural ability. She jumped into character well. Tyra reminds her to be a little younger. Teyona is next and Nigel makes funny faces. Nigel explains that she squinted too much. Allison wears the same clothes twice. She can't make the same fashion statement. Miss Jay suggests that Allison and Teyona change clothes during deliberation. Allison's commercial is a little boring. Tyra thinks that it is punishment. Clay points out that she improved from the teach with Paulina. Nigel thinks that her poses are still the same. Aminat's commercial has a stutter and she's quite aggressive. Tyra thinks that Teona took over the commercial. Also she says chew instead of choose.

London's commercial is a little too aggressive. Nigel called it slouchy and sloppy. Tyra thought it was too hard. Paulina suggests not to wear the shorts. Natalie gains some personal style, but her commercial is overpowered by London's emotions. Clay thinks that she wasn't as friendly with the other girls. Tyra suggests working with flirty-ness. Fo's nervous about the commercial because she stuttered. Miss Jay thinks that she's chewing gum in the commercial. Nigel thinks that Tahlia overpowered her. Tahlia looks like a bridesmaid. Her commercial was overpowered by Fo. Nigel calls both Tahlia and Fo background girls. He also thought that she was too aggressive. Tyra points out that she's the physical image of a Cover Girl but she just isn't the vocal message.

Top Models in Action: Heather from Cycle 9 is now a model in Chicago but also is studying video game design. Now that's just cool.

In deliberation Clay likes that Celia took risks. Tyra never used a teleprompter. Teonna is the most photogenic, but Nigel doesn't get it. Allison was adorable but meek. Fo's nerves got to her, but she stood out in the background. Tahlia knows her angles, but she has bad self-esteem issues. London has become pear shaped and Paulina finally gets her facial angles. Aminat looked angry and had bad pronunciation. Natalie surprised Paulina, but she still needs more emotion.

After Teyona and Allison switch clothes, they both look better. Tyra has screen grabs of the commercials. She tells the girls that they all had week commercials. The best commercial is from Celia. She then calls Natalie, Teyona, Fo, London, and Aminat. The bottom two are Allison and Tahlia. Allison is one of the best editorial girls, but she is a one-note. The commercial still had the same look. Tahlia's criticism is that she had the CoverGirl look, but she may not love the camera. The girl staying is Allison.
