'America's Next Top Model' Recap: 'Lori Goldstein'

[America's Next Top Model - Season 16 Episode 3]

The model hopefuls arrived back at the home and saw a sign that said "Pull Me." Monique pulled the cord and it was a list of different makeovers. Sara was worried that she got the "Manly" haircut, but she wanted extensions to work with her feminine features. Dominique was worried about how the negative energy of all the critiques was eating her up. We got a montage of girls that wanted to keep their hair, and others that wouldn’t have minded a change. Dalya and Molly were worried about being the bottom three and hoped that the makeovers will be a new look for them.

The contestants got bussed to Prive Salon in Hollywood for their makeovers. The two Jays showed up and introduced Laurent D., owner of the salon. Miss J reminded the girls that they will have their makeover photo shoot right afterward. Troy Jensen, their photographer, was excited, but in all reality, all the makeover shoots look the same: some sort of bikini/underwear on a grey background. The girls started getting their hair washed and Brittani was first. Her hair got cut short and received bangs almost instantly; she trusted the change. Jaclyn was nervous, but the hair stylists put more curls in her hair, she was expecting straightened hair. Jaclyn had confidence in her shot.

Monique was getting fusion bonded hair and was happy that she got more hair. Sara's rat tail was cut off, but then she got the manly haircut she was dreading. She understood her androgynous look but just wanted to have that one girly moment. Alexandria had a root touch up and they added wavy long hair. Alexandria started to complain how her fake hair didn't look right. A stylist tried to calm her down and they fixed her hair. Dominique got red hair with matching eyebrows. She thought she would like the hair, but she started to get scared. In the long run, she appreciated the hair.

Molly was getting a weave from a “weave specialist” where she had a specially designed net that combined her hair with what looked like a bad spider web of string. Molly was worried because the hair wasn't looking right. After the commercial, Molly was convinced that the hair was butchered. Laurent D. arrived and was upset about the look of her hair. Miss J wondered if they could style Molly's hair for the photo shoot and then fix the hair afterwards.

Mikaela got long black extensions. Kasia got wild crazy blond hair. Dalya got a net sewn on her head and got long straight black hair. Hannah got highlights and her eyebrows lightened. Molly tried to get some improvements on her hair. Jay tried to explain that Tyra was the client and she had to make it work. During her photo shoot, she tried her best to photograph with it, but she felt horrible.

On the bus ride back, Molly was sour about everything. Alexandria couldn't resist laughing. Brittani thought that this would help her in the long run for the drama. The girls returned and Dominique felt more unique. The girls received a Tyra Mail explaining "photosynthesis" and the girls guessed a plant photo shoot. Sara was upset about having short hair because she was getting stress. She felt intimidated by the beautiful girls all around her.

The girls arrived at Orcutt Estate Ranch for their photo shoot. Jay introduced Pamela Hanson, who was their photographer, and Lori Goldstein, fashion stylist, who was in charge of the clothes and accessories. The shoot was about couture with a twist: the girls would have to be in group shots. The girls had to compete against each other and at the same time work well with each other. The girls went to the back and Hannah was excited about the photo shoot. Each girl was fitted for dresses, then had their hair and makeup done. Molly hoped that the hair team would fix the hair. Molly and Kasia were shooting together and the two were awkward together in the beginning. Kasia had some good shape, but Molly dominated the photo. Alexandria started to complain about her hair to the stylists, and then got a pimple on her lip. Monique knew that Alexandria was being a bitch before their group shoot. Monique needed expression in her face, other than sniffing poo face. Monique was starting to look mean in the photo, but Alexandria forced herself into the front of the photo.

Sara was happy about shooting with Mikaela, but both were worried about shooting. The photographers thought it was the blind leading the blind. The two girls started to do walking to get a good shot. Brittani and Hannah shot next but the girls were trying to force giggles. Brittani tried to be real, but looked really fake. The two eventually found a groove. Dominique felt more confident as she shot with Dalya and Jaclyn. Jaclyn and Dalya worked well together but Dominique would have been cropped out according to Jay.

The girls got their elimination email and Sara was worried about the feedback. Monique was worried about not getting amazing photos, but also didn't want Alexandria to talk to her. In the kitchen, Jaclyn voiced her fear of Alexandria to Kasia. Alexandria thought the girls were just intimidated.

The girls arrived at judging and Tyra introduced Nigel Barker, Andre Leon Talley, and Lori Goldstein. After explaining the prizes, Monique and Alexandria were up first. Their photo was good for the judges. Monique's look had personality and Alexandria had the more appealing shot. Lori pointed out how cranky she was off the set. Brittani and Hannah were next. Their group shot worked well. Hannah had a good broken body and Brittany had a wonderful face. Dalya, Jaclyn, and Dominique were next and Nigel was reminded of Alice in Wonderland. Nigel loved Dalya's hand to the face and Jaclyn's ethereal look. Dominique was unusual and didn't fit in; she felt like she was messing up during the photo shoot. Mikaela and Sara were next and Mikaela's eyes weren't open in any shot. Sara's shot was okay, but Nigel thought she lost her differences. Kasia and Molly were up next; Molly had to show Tyra the messed up weave first and Tyra told her that if she survived this week, they'd fix the hair. Their shot had a striking nature. Kasia's open mouth looked a bit weird to Nigel.

After the judges deliberated the bottom two were Sara and Dominique. Dominique was eliminated.
