'America's Next Top Model' Recap: Nikos Papadopoulos

In Greece, the girls have to impress locals and pose in a Greek salad.

After the last elimination, the girls managed to have some down time and had lunch. I'm sure there was a weary eye as each of the girls was considered a fierce competitor. Dominique used her children as motivation, but Angelea thought that she was a fake actress. Angelea wondered if one day Dominique would crack after all of the drama. The girls returned to the house and Allison had the top video playing in the hallway; Lisa was convinced that while Allison was nice, she lacked the full package. An Asian-hat wearing Andre Leon Talley arrived with dinner to celebrate. The waiters arrived and had this wonderful diva attack with plates being thrown on the floor. Of course, the whole thing was an act. He announced that the girls would be going to Greece. The girls broke plates in celebration and were given laurels. Laura has never been overseas and she never did during her season because the girls ended up going to Hawaii. The girls got packed and headed out.

The girls were excited and were jetted to Athens. Miss J and Greece's Next Top Model host Vicky Kaya greeted them and announced that the girls would have a press conference in the island of Crete. The girls would have to make a one minute speech where they had to be larger than life. Lisa knew that she could be camera ready and could win this challenge. The prize would be a special piece of jewelry.

The girls had to include several pieces in their speech: talk about them, show knowledge of Greece, and use the Greek language. Laura was worried about her dyslexia and her southern accent. The girls got on another flight to Crete and used that time to prepare their speeches. Angelea decided to just go from the heart and not sound like a recording. The plane landed and Miss J wished them luck. Lisa was first to start and she started off well, but her enthusiasm left the crowd speechless. Allison used a lot of Greek and was magically natural. It's almost surprising how eloquent she came off because of how bashful you would think she would be. Shannon tried her best to talk about her life having high standards. Dominique was nervous and sounded a bit goofy talking about food. Laura was next and because of the wind, she was totally thrown off but she tried to use her southern accent as an advantage. She accidentally said her favorite goddess was the Roman "Venus" instead of Greek "Aphrodite." Angelea was warm and very natural, except for when she made a bathroom joke. I'm pretty sure that she said "baño" and that's just Spanish.

The girls were driven to the Blue Palace Resort & Spa as their home away from home. The girls had pictures and prizes for themselves. The girls went downstairs and Miss J announced the winner of the challenge. He started with minor critiques with each of the girls. The winner ended up being Allison and she knew that she's happy to go beyond modeling. She received the Scarlett O'Hara bracelet. There would have been a small chance that Angelea would have won if she didn't play up the bathroom.

The models had their wonderful Greek breakfast for the first time and Jay arrived. He announced that the girls would get to collaborate with a designer to work on their final runway gown. Michael Cinco, fashion designer and photographer, would be making an outfit themed to an "immortal goddess." The contestants had five minutes to talk to Michael. Each girl suggested different designs and Dominique suggested a real drag queen outfit and wanted crotch embellishment. Granted the only thing worse was Lisa, who wanted lights on her clothes.

Laura woke up and she was feeling really sick, she didn't complain and just kept going. Mr. Jay explained the photo shoot would be a pun on a Greek salad where the girls would have to shoot in underwear. Shannon was stuck with the conflict of being so raunchy. The photographer for the day was Nikos Papadopoulos. Just to emphasize how much of an idiot that Shannon was, Allison mentioned that the lingerie looked like a swimsuit, but Shannon was still hesitant.

Dominique was first and she had to combine the salad with her beautiful angles. Dominique was great for Jay and she learned to channel that drag undertone that she had during her season. Jay talked to Shannon and she thought it was too underwear-like. Angelea crossed her fingers that she wouldn't do the photo shoot because it would up her chances of success. Shannon was at a loss for words, but admitted that she wouldn't do the shoot. Angelea was next and she was reminded to do as many shapes as possible. Angelea was awkward sitting up but she lacked any core strength to make any of her shoots better. We were also given a shot of Angelea's flabby stomach. Laura was laying in the back in hopes she would feel better.

Allison was told to be more fluid during her photo shoot. She was worried about her vampire vision and her eyes. She had to open and close her eyes every few seconds. Her eyes were tearing and it affected her shoot. Allison was worried that she did a horrible shot. Lisa followed with her positive vibe, set to her own music. Lisa was trying to be sexy pouring olive oil all over herself. Laura was last even though she felt horrible. Laura struggled the shoot, but she looked a little too childish.

The girls received their elimination email and Allison was worried about looking horrible during the photo. She hoped that there was one shot that would work. Laura, being sick, was a problem with her shoot. Shannon hoped that she would stay true to her brand.

Tyra welcomed the girls to the judging panel and along with Nigel Barker and Andre Leon Talley was the photographer Nikos Papadopoulos. Allison was first and was praised for winning. Her eyes were closed in the shot and Nigel told her to work on the sunlight challenges. Angelea was next and her photo turned out okay, she made the photographer awkward. Lisa was next and she had a strong profile shot. She was warned that she was thinking too hard. Shannon was next and she didn't do the photo shoot. Nigel thinks that it was semantics versus standards. Tyra knows it’s good to stand for her rights, but her overall collection of photos would still be evaluated. Dominique was next with frizzy hair. Dominique had strength into her face and her body was nice. Finally was Laura and the shot wasn't that glamorous, it was a bit too raunchy.

After the girls were evaluated, Tyra announced the top photo was Dominique. The bottom two contestants were Laura and Shannon. Laura was criticized for not being loveable in her photo shoot; her photo didn't align with her brand. Shannon's brand was confusing. Shannon was eliminated and Laura was warned to dial back her sexuality. Shannon was told that she was also eliminated because of the fact that she didn't have a top photo or never won a challenge. She was proud of the outcome.
