The girls arrived and Miss J explained that the prize for the girls will be five looks from the Z Spoke collection. Miss J talked to the pro models and told them to be mean to the contestants. Zac gave one-on-one walk critiques to the contestants. While the girls tried to psych out the contestants, Chris didn't give a damn, Ann got more nervous, and Esther got called out for her large boobs.
Andre Leon Talley opened the show and Jane started off and walked decently; she didn’t stand out, but she didn’t mess up. Liz led her walk with her chin. A pro before Ann told her, "Don't screw it up" and it phased her confidence; as she walked Ann wobbled, but didn’t fall. The girls had a set of second looks but most of the girls did better the second time around. After the runway, Miss J admitted that the pros were told to be mean. Somehow even when Ann did horribly, Zac told her that rarity was luxury. Zac picked Chelsey as the winner.
The following day, the girls milled around their house eating breakfast. Out of nowhere, Nigel and Jay walked in to surprise the girls. They announced that there's a commercial challenge for H2T water - a fake Tyra-made product. I’m very confused as to why the girls didn’t do a fake CoverGirl commercial instead. They are still part of the prize. The girls had to roller-skate and kiss boys. As the girls went to hair and makeup, Kayla became upset and Jay pulled her aside. They discussed how she was sexually assaulted and never told anyone. Well, now all of America knows. Jay suggested that she needed to deal with it and gave her a hug.
Kayla starts first with commercials and she stammered through the beginning. She managed to produce some believable moments even with some words were stammered. Liz laughed the way through and it upset Nigel. Esther wanted to make sure that she was having fun. Instead, she came off as really nervous. Jay thought she had no energy whatsoever. Jane struggled with roller-skates as did Chelsey. Chris was natural both speaking and skating. Ann was nervous when she started and she immediately falls from the skates. She had to wear pads and have people drag her to her spots.
The girls talked about the commercial and Kayla admitted about her abuse in front of the other girls. She feels better talking about the situation and was ready for competition. The girls arrived to judging with Zac Posen as the guest judge. Jane was first, and had great contact with the male model and shine when she started. Liz wobbled and giggled throughout the whole commercial. Nigel thought that she was a mess. Chris had some natural chemistry with the camera, but was a bit cheesy.
Ann wobbled and stuttered through the whole routine; she showed pain and fear. Kayla stuttered random words as ingredients (Iguana in water?) but she managed to look good. She just looked uncomfortable with the male model. Chelsey kept talking over her shoulder and overacted a bit with the male model. Esther struggled with skating and the script; she even cursed when she couldn’t remember. Tyra called out on her muffle in her voice; yet not on her cursing. I guess cursing is allowed in non-CoverGirl commercials.
After the judges deliberated the top commercial was from Chris. The bottom two are Esther and Ann. Ann was applauded for her fantastic photos, but her presentation has been bad. Esther had both edge and commercial, but she was "blah." Ann was announced safe and Esther was eliminated.
1) Chris
2) Jane
3) Chelsey
4) Kayla
5) Liz
6) Ann
7) Esther – Eliminated
Esther needed to show personality and she didn’t. Surprisingly, her boobs never became much of a challenge in the runway and in a bikini she managed to have clothes.
