Zack Snyder’s most recent film, Sucker Punch, was released last week. So now, fans are looking to his next project, the highly-anticipated next Superman film. The cast for this film is just coming together, and Amy Adams was recently cast as Lois Lane, a widely recognized role.
Though Adams landed this coveted role, it seems that she hasn’t yet opened up about her reaction to it. Entertainment Weekly reports that when they spoke to Adams, she didn’t have much to say about the role except that she was looking forward to it and couldn’t really give many details. However, this could have to do with the fact that the decision was announced only a few days ago, and the film is still being developed.
Adams later spoke up in a interview done while she was at CinemaCon, reports The Los Angeles Times.
She talked about all the things that drew her to Lois Lane as a character, stating that Lois is very independent and stood out from other women in her society. Adams talks about how women’s roles change over time, and it seems that she’s very excited to have the chance to portray Lois Lane.
Amy Adams is a recognized actress who has appeared in a variety of films. She was most recently nominated for an Academy Award for her role as a bar waitress in The Fighter.
