Amy Poehler Is Expecting Second Child
Amy Poehler and her husband, Will Arnett, are welcoming another child!
A rep for Poehler confirmed exclusively to UsMagazine.com that the couple is expecting their second child. No due date has been released.
Poehler, 38, and Arnett, 39, married in August 2003, and already have a son, Archie, 16 months.
"Any working mother will tell you it's a day-to-day thing," the Parks and Recreation comedienne told TV Guide last November of maintaining the balance between work and motherhood. "You just do your best and try to make it work."
She also said that she and her fellow Saturday Night Live alum, Tina Fey, frequently discuss life as Hollywood moms. "We [talk] a lot about how we're both working long hours with kids. Our emails and texts are mostly about formula and nannies."
For fans of Parks and Recreation, fear not. Poehler’s pregnancy will not stop the show. The early season three pickup was designed to accommodate Amy's pregnancy.
"It will not affect the show," a source for the show explained. "They will take a short break and then resume production."
An NBC rep says, "We'll continue production of season three as soon as production of season two concludes. And we'll be back next season with new episodes."
