Amy Poehler to Host 'SNL'
Amy Poehler will return to Saturday Night Live to host the show’s fall premiere, NBC announced earlier today.
Poehler, 38, will be hosting the first episode of the show’s 36th season, with musical guest Katy Perry, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The actress/comedian left her stint on the show as a cast member in 2008, and became the lead character of NBC’s Parks and Recreation, which will premiere its third season this fall. She has also had many guest roles on other shows and has done a few movies since leaving SNL. Poehler even returned a few times to SNL in guest spots.
The 36th season of Saturday Night Live will premiere this fall on September 25. New players making their debut on the show this fall are Vanessa Bayer, Paul Brittain, Taran Killam, and Jay Pharoah.
