Amy Winehouse: Children's Book Writer?
It seems that the time Amy Winehouse has spent in the Caribbean has inspired her to become a writer. According to Britain's Daily Star, the singer was inspired to write a book by her friend, Pete Doherty.
A source told the magazine that Winehouse is working on a book of poems first for "practice" before attempting to write a children's book, aceshowbiz.com reported.
"Pete Doherty once told her that poetry was a good way to express yourself so she thought writing a book of poems about her life would be a fine start," the source said. Winehouse has already started writing poems and has one, titled "Desire," which is "based on her yearning to be loved and to give love."
The source went on to say, "Amy is so happy with the results."
"Amy's been stimulated since living in St. Lucia. She loves the chilled-out Caribbean atmosphere and has found it has encouraged her to write again," the source added.
There is no word from Winehouse confirming or denying the rumor.
