Amy Winehouse Could Face Legal Actions for the Paris No-Show
After British singer Amy Winehouse pulled out of the Rock en Seine music festival in Paris, claiming that she was sick in her London home, organizers for the show are threatening legal action, according to BBC News.
Rock en Seine got the notification only two hours before Winehouse, 24, was scheduled to take the stage. The organizers said there was "no explanation of the exact reasons for her absence."
A statement on their Web site said that the news was "last minute." The statement continued to say, "We are very sorry about this situation and share the disappointment of the festival-goers."
The singer's UK rep, Chris Goodman, previously said, "Amy Winehouse was regrettably unable to perform at the Rock En Seine show in Paris due to illness.
"She was taken ill at her house and wasn't able to travel to France for the concert."
According to BBC, a spokesman for the London Ambulance Service confirmed later that there were no paramedics called to Winehouse's address.
So far, he has no comment at the threat of legal actions.
Recently, the pop singer was diagnosed with emphysema after she collapsed. Last month, she collapsed again due to an allergic reaction to a medication and was brought to a nearby hospital.
Amy Winehouse is scheduled to appear next Saturday at the Bestival music festival on the Isle of Wight in England.
