Amy Winehouse No Longer Faces Charges
According to the Associated Press, British police will be taking no further action in the investigation of Amy Winehouse for allegedly trying to interfere with her husband's court case.
The singer was released on bail in December, but was supposed to return to the police station in March for further questioning. However, police announced Friday that Winehouse was no longer needed, according to Reuters.
"Amy is pleased to be discounted from the investigation and thanks the police for their professionalism in their dealings with her," a spokesman for Winehouse said in a statement.Winehouse's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, faces charges of allegedly attacking a pub landlord and appeared in court on Friday.
Winehouse did not attend the hearing because she was scheduled to perform at a Louis Vuitton party in Paris, according to AP.
The singer recently took home five Grammy Awards including best record, best song and best new artist.
