Amy Winehouse Is Planning a Holiday Album
After Amy Winehouse's successful stint in rehab, and not to mention her incredible Grammy moment, the British singer has a new task on her agenda. She is planning to record an album of Christmas and Hanukkah songs, according to her producer, Mark Ronson.
As reported by Rolling Stone, Ronson stated in an interview: "We're talking about making a holiday record, with Christmas songs on one side and Hanukkah songs on the other. She's got songs called 'Kosher Kisses' and 'Alone Under The Mistletoe.'"
Ronson and Winehouse both have Jewish roots and are both eager to express this in song.
"She was kind of messing around, but I was like, 'You have all these amazing records to play for Christmas, like Motown and Carla Thomas and the Charlie Brown Christmas, and unfortunately, us Jews have nothing that cool to listen to. So we should do something,'" added Ronson.
Ronson expects the singer to begin recording later this year.
