The producers of CSI are reportedly in serious discussions with Laurence Fishburne about replacing William Petersen as the show's lead actor.
CSI has tried to keep their pusuit of the actor, who has starred in the Matrix films, 21, and What's Love Got to Do with It, under wraps. But reports from multiple sources all echo the same thing - the leader to land the gig as head of the CSI is Fishburne.
The replacement for Grissom, regardless of which actor lands the role, will reportedly be a brilliant scientist, who has the profile of a serial killer, but has not acted on those impulses.
If Fishburne does not join the show, CSI producers are reportedly also interested in John Malkovich and Kurt Russell.
Stay tuned.
