And the Nominees Are . . .

Country Music Association's leading entertainer of the year, Kenny Chesney, dominated the CMA Award nominations, earning seven nominations, including Vocal, Single, Video, Album of the Year. Chesney was also nominated for Entertainer of the Year, a category he has won for the past two years, according to the Associated Press.

Other nominees for Entertainer of the Year are Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson, Keith Urban, George Strait and Sugarland. Strait and Sugarland each received 5 nominations.

"Being in the Entertainer of the Year category is such an honor. We've been lucky enough to be out on the road with Kenny Chesney for a couple of tours over the last two years. Looks like rock by osmosis really does work!" said Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, according to the Associated Press.

According to the Associated Press, Underwood's Carnival Ride, Chesney's Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates, Jackson's Good Time, Strait's Troubadour and Brooks & Dunn's Cowboy Town were all nominated for Album of the Year.

Underwood said, according to the Associated Press, "There is nothing more rewarding than to be recognized by your peers and to know your fans are enjoying the same ride."

Taylor Swift, Alison Krauss, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, and Carrie Underwood were all nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year. Nominees for Male Vocalist include Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Keith Urban, and Brad Paisley, the Associated Press reported.

Rascal Flatts was nominated for Vocal Group of the Year, an award they have won the past five years. Other nominees in that category include the Eagles, Emerson Drive, Lady Antebellum, and Little Big Town, according to the Associated Press.

New Artist of the Year nominees are Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean, Rodney Atkins, James Otto and Kellie Pickler, the Associated Press reported.
