The winners at this years SAG awards.

The Screen Actor's Guild Awards ceremony was held on Sunday, January 27. This is an annual awards show held by the Guild to recognize outstanding performances by its members in both film and television. It seems to be the actual opening of awards season, since the writers' strike has forced other shows to cancel.

The winners of the SAG awards are as follows:

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role (film): Daniel Day Lewis for his performance in There Will Be Blood.

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role: Julie Christie for Away From Her.

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role: Javier Bardem for No Country For Old Men.

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role: Ruby Dee for American Gangster.

Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture: The Bourne Ultimatum.

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Mini-series (Television): Kevin Kline for his performance in As You Like It.

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Mini-series: Queen Latifah for her performance in Life Support.

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series: James Gandolfini for The Sopranos.

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series: Edie Falco for The Sopranos.

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series: Alec Baldwin for 30 Rock.

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series: Tina Fey for 30 Rock.

Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series: The Sopranos.

Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series: The Office.

It seems, for the evening, the final season of The Sopranos came out on top.
