Anderson Will Adapt Spy Hunter
Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil, Alien vs. Predator) is set to write and direct Spy Hunter, based on the Midway video game.
Anderson, who is experienced in adapting games to the big screen, will team with a screenwriter for the project and it is not known if Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson remains attached to star or not.
The Rock already starred in "Spy Hunter: Nowhere to Run," a Midway game released last year and was originally planned to come out with the movie, but the game maker was forced to release the title early to cover production costs.
Spy Hunter revolves around a transforming supercar called Interceptor. The film will introduce the never-seen Spy Hunter who works for a secret government agency and tries to defeat a terrorist organization called Nostra.
