Andre Smith Signs with Bengals
Right Tackle Andre Smith has agreed to a contract with the Cincinnati Bengals.
After holding out for weeks, Cincinnati Bengals right tackle Andre Smith has agreed to a contract worth up to $42 million, reports the National Football Post. The Bengals drafted Smith with the sixth overall pick in the 2009 NFL draft.
According to the Associated Press, Smith missed all of training camp as well as three preseason games. The Bengals wanted to pay him less than the seventh overall pick, Oakland's Darius Heyward-Bey.
NFL News states that the lone first round pick to remain unsigned is wide receiver Michael Crabtree, who was drafted with the tenth overall pick by the San Francisco 49ers.
