Angelina Jolie is Brad Pitt's "Soulmate"
Amidst all the rumors of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie breaking up, Brad Pitt had something else to say.
Pitt, sat down with Parade Magazine and talked about his relationship with Jolie.
"I have a love in my life, a soulmate -- absolutely," says Pitt in reference to Jolie.
The couple, who have 6 children and have been together for 4 years have no plans to wed anytime soon. But how do they keep their relationship so hot? According to Pitt, their backyard pool is "a great place for sex."
A popular question on everyone's mind is, why haven't Pitt and Jolie wed yet? The reason? According to Pitt, he feels when it is legal for everyone to get married, then maybe he will get married as well. "I believe everyone should have the same right," says Pitt.
In Pitt's eyes, having a family together is a bigger commitment than marriage.
"It's certainly more than the ball-and-chain that country songs sing about. Our family is the base that gives Angie and me the long tether to go out and do all these other things," he says. "It's a big step we've taken. We've put down roots together. As Angie and I carve out our time as a couple, we carve out our lives as individuals."
"I'm really enjoying my life right now. I don't know what the future is," Pitt says. The couple split their time between their chateau in France and their home in New Orleans.
As for living in France, "There's real value in the quality of life in France. They've got a great healthcare system, great education. The Lycee Francaise is a bilingual international school that works for us because we can plug the kids into the school program even if we are off doing a movie somewhere, like London or New York. Most places have a Lycee program," Pitt says.
The couple are parents to six kids. Son Maddox, 8, daughter Zahara, 4, son Pax, 5 1/2, daughter Shiloh, 3, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 1.
