Angelina Jolie has certainly gone through several bizarre phases in her life, but this time we’re getting to see a much more personal side of her.
The Hollywood Gossip reported the In the Land of Blood and Honey writer and director broke down before producing on her directorial debut began.
In a live video web chat with Marie Claire magazine on Thursday, the actress said she had a “complete meltdown” and that her husband found her in a very uncharacteristic state.
"I had a complete emotional breakdown in the shower and Brad [Pitt] found me crying," she said. "I felt this huge responsibility and I felt very small. 'Who am I to take this on?'"
According to Us Weekly, the 36-year-old mother of six also admitted she is still a bit insecure about her latest career credit.
"I didn't plan to become a director, and I still have trouble saying I'm a director," she said.
"I just wanted to tell this story and I ended up by default being the director. It was a pleasure, but I wonder if it would be a pleasure with another cast and crew, and a subject matter that wasn't so special."
Well she certainly didn’t have much to be worried about. In the Land of Blood and Honey is nominated for a Golden Globe.
