Angelina Jolie Reconciles with Father
Angelina Jolie has had a tumultuous relationship with her father John Voight. The two attempted to reconcile in 2001, but it did not work out, and a year later she legally dropped her last name Voight. He eventually made a statement saying that his daughter had “serious problems” before Jolie settled down and worked on becoming more of a philanthropist. Jolie later told the media that she does not want to pursue a relationship with her father.
Jon arrived at the premiere with son James Haven and sat with his family during the screening. He also attended the after party, an insider says that when he arrived, he found their table and started talking to Brad, and he put his arm around Voight while they talked. Later, Jolie was seen hugging Voight, and attendees said that she couldn’t stop smiling after they had spent time together.
