Angelina Jolie Says She'll Marry Brad Pitt - Not for Herself Though
Angelina Jolie has gone on the record saying that she will one day marry Brad Pitt. Not for herself, but rather to keep their children happy.
The actress currently has six kids with Pitt. They are - Maddox, 7, Pax, 4, and Zahara, 3, and biological children Shiloh, 2, and newborn twins Knox and Vivienne.
Jolie and Pitt, who was once married to Friends actress Jennifer Aniston, have not gotten married up to this point because same-sex marriages have not been legalized across the United States (they publically took this vow).
The Ocean's Eleven star said in the past, "Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able."
In a new issue of the Italian version of Vanity Fair, Jolie says that the couple's marriage may eventually come because of the need to please their children.
"Usually people fall in love and everything revolves around the ritual of marriage, children are an afterthought. We did everything backwards."
She says that, like many parents, they may soon have to give in to their kids' demands.
"But sooner or later it will be the kids who ask us (to get married). You know, they see films and start asking questions. Such as, 'Why are Shrek and Fiona married and you're not?'"
