Angelina Jolie Suffers Injury on Set
Angelina Jolie was taken to the hospital on Friday for a head injury she suffered while on set. Jolie, 33, was filming an action scene for her latest film, "Salt," when the accident occurred.
According to Columbia Pictures spokesman Steve Elzer, Jolie only suffered a minor bump on the head. However, the actress was taken to a local hospital as a "precautionary measure." After Jolie was given a clean bill of health, she returned to the set and production on the film resumed.
In "Salt," Jolie stars as a CIA officer who is on the run after being accused of being a Russian spy.
Last year it was reported that Jolie was taking over the role that had originally been designed for Tom Cruise. After casting complications, the script was reworked so that the main character was a female.
"Salt," which also features "Wolverine" star Liev Schreiber and Bristish actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, is due for theatrical release next summer.
