Angels Beat Red Sox to Advance to ALCS
The Los Angeles Angels have defeated the Boston Red Sox to advance to the American League Conference Series.
USA Today reports the Los Angeles Angels have swept the Boston Red Sox in the American League Divisional Series and will go on to face the New York Yankees in the American League Conference Series. The Angels have struggled against the Red Sox in past postseasons, but won this series in dominant fashion.
The Angels defeated the Red Sox 7-6 Sunday to clinch the series, states ESPN. The Angels had to rally to come from behind to win the game, with Red Sox pitcher Jonathan Papelbon blowing a save in the 9th inning.
According to MLB.com, the Angels are advancing in the postseason because of a trait they've exhibited all season; resiliency. The Angels won 47 comeback wins during the regular season.
