A representative for Jennifer Aniston announced Monday that the rumors about the actress's plans to have her own talk show on Oprah's network are false.
Numerous reports surfaced recently about Aniston's desire to have her own talk show. According to New York Daily News, she said in a 2007 interview that she "would love to spend a day in Oprah Winfrey's shoes." However, these words were not to be taken seriously.
The reports claim that Aniston was persuaded to start her own talk show by comic Chelsea Handler, host of the E! talk show "Chelsea Lately," writes Radar Online. A source in one publication was cited as having said: "She is doing this for one reason only: She absolutely wants to do it."
Aniston is also regularly seen on Oprah's afternoon program.
United Press International writes that publications such as London's Daily Express, OK! Magazine, and The New York Post reported on the bogus rumor, prompting Aniston's publisher to explain that she has not been in any such talks with Oprah, and that the reports saying otherwise are "absolutely false."
