Anna Faris Picks Up Two Projects

The 32-year-old actress will star in movies for Paramount and Columbia.

Comedienne Anna Faris is set to star in two upcoming romantic comedies, the Hollywood Reporter says.

One of the films is an untitled project for Paramount in which two estranged sisters join forces to find husbands. Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith, who also worked on Faris's summer Playboy-themed comedy, The House Bunny, will write the script, while Faris will executive produce.

Faris will also take the lead role in Columbia's 20 Times a Lady. The movie is based on the book by Karyn Bosnak and follows a woman who, in her quest to find Mr. Right, goes through her sexual past and reflects on the importance of a person's sexual quota. The novel was adapted by Jennifer Crittenden and Gabrielle Allan.

The House Bunny grossed nearly $50 million domestically and established Faris as a comedic headliner. Her previous work includes the "Scary Movie" franchise and Just Friends.
