Anna Nicole Smith supports son's death inquiry
Anna Nicole Smith supports the formal inquiry into her 20-year-old son's death, her lawyer said on Thursday.
"She fully wants this process to take place and she wishes the public to not jump to conclusions and to wait for the conclusion of the proceedings," said Michael Scott, one of Smith's attorneys and reported by the Associated Press.
Her son Daniel Wayne Smith died at a Bahamas hospital three days after Anna Nicole Smith gave birth to a new daughter. The Bahamas coroner's office has deemed his death "suspicious."
Scott said Smith would not be talking to the press about the incident and he didn't know when she would talk to the press again.
"She's resting. She's obviously devastated," he said. "It's going to take a long time to heal. She's in seclusion and she wants some privacy."
