Annie Leibovitz is in over her head
Annie Leibovitz, known for her striking celebrity photographs, has dug herself into a financial pit of debt. To start, Friday in Manhattan Federal Court an Italian photographer by the name of Paolo Pizzetti sued Leibovitz for about $300,000. According to Pizzetti he was contracted in March 2008 to take photos for her in Italy. Two photos in particular were the Trevi Fountain and the Piazza San Marco. Later he was informed that the shoot would be moved to New York. Once this year's calendar came out, Pizzetti was shocked to see the pictures. He told New York Daily News that "the water falling from the rocks is falling in exactly the same place and in the same manner in both." Things just seem to get worse as Leibovitz is also being sued for $24 million by Art Capital Group. According to The Seattle Times she breached the contract with the "New York company that issues short-term loans against fine and decorative arts and real estate." Leibovitz, 59, has put up several of her Greenwich Village town homes as collateral. All that can be said for now is that she is dealing with the matter as best she can.
