Another Two Jackson Tributes to Take Place Today
Michael Jackson will be remembered in two more tributes on Sunday.
According to Los Angeles Times, the Agape International Choir, at its Spiritual Center in Culver City, Calif., will sing "Man in the Mirror." Also underway is the BET Awards show, which will air at 8 p.m. It will be extended by another 30 minutes to make room for a tribute to Jackson.
The Washington Post reports that the awards show has been thrown into "total overhaul" by Jackson's death. BET will include performers who have been influenced by the King of Pop. It is not clear if members of his family will attend. The show will take place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
In 2003, Jackson and his idol, James Brown, surprised the audience with a duet.
Jamie Foxx will host tonight's awards show, and artists such as Ne-Yo and Beyonce, who are said to have been influenced by Jackson, are scheduled to perform.
