Anthony Edwards Thinks George Clooney's a Fool . . .

. . . if he doesn't return for ER's final season.

The final season of ER is nearly upon us, and there has been a wide array of news reports of former stars of the show returning in the final season.

This list includes Noah Wyle, playing Dr. John Carter, who will return for multiple episodes before the show officially ends, as well as Anthony Edwards.

Edwards, at one time, was the lead actor when the show was at its peak. He played Dr. Mark Greene, who was probably the most beloved character ever on the show. He eventually died from cancer at a beach house in one of the saddest episodes one will ever see.

Edwards's episode (which will likely be a flashback, considering that his character's dead) will air November 13.

With this in mind, Edwards recently said that he thinks George Clooney should come back to the show that launched his A-list career.

"I think he'd be a fool not to," Edwards told Access Hollywood during a recent visit to the set. "But you know, who knows what'll happen?"

Edwards isn't the only one pushing Clooney to come back as Dr. Doug Ross.

"I know they want to do everything they can to bring everybody back," Edwards said about the producers of ER.

Time will tell if Clooney comes back, so stay tuned.
