Anwar Robinson, the charismatic music teacher from New Jersey was voted off American Idol Wednesday despite being described by judges as "technically" the best singer in the competition.
Veering slightly off course from Tuesday nights Disco theme, Robinson gave a spirited performance of Earth, Wind and Fire's "September."
Rounding out the bottom three were Anthony Fedorov, and for the third week in a row, Scott Savol, whose rendition of "Everlasting Love" was panned by the ever cynical Simon Cowell, who compared the performance to something one would see in a karaoke bar.
Vonzell Solomon brought down the house, belting out the evenings most challenging song, Chaka Khan's "I'm Every Woman." Carrie Underwood dazzled Idol judges with her version of Donna Summer's "MacArthur Park", although Simon was not impressed with her choice of attire, a shimmering dress and big hair. Speaking of hair, Bo Bice delivered the performance of the night once again with the classic "Vehicle."
Thats all for now Idol fans!!! Tune in next week to see if the lovable Scott can hang on for one more round of American Idol!
