The Apocalypse Is Upon Us - The Comedic Version At Least
It looks like Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg are at it again.
In addition to write an episode of The Simpsons (as TheCelebrityCafe.com reported Monday) and many other things, Rogan and Goldberg will write Jay and Seth vs. the Apocalypse, a film that is based on an internet trailer that Rogan and friends did about the end of the world.
Rogan will also star in the film alongside Jay Baruchel (Knocked Up).
The story is about two guys who are forced to go into hiding for a long period of time because the planet is being attacked by monsters. The two stay cooped up together for an extremely long time and who eventually come to the consensus that they want to kill each other.
Mandate bought the rights to the story, which was originally developed by Goldberg and Jason Stone. Stone later directed the trailer in 2007 in the hopes that it would made into a film. And with Mandate looking for new, cutting-edge projects similar to that of their 2007 film Juno, it seemed that Jay and Seth fit that criteria.
