The Apple iPad Still to be Released Next Month
Even though the early reviews and reports of the Apple iPad stated that there was many kinks and oddities that left consumers still desiring, Apple is going ahead with releasing the wi-fi only version of the iPad. New reports state that production problems have been corrected, and even Bill Gates has had something to say on his competitor's tablet computer:
"It's a nice reader, but there's nothing on the iPad I look at and say, "Oh, I wish Microsoft had done it," Gates said.
With orders being able to be placed starting March 12, only those with wi-fi access will be able to get their iPads April 3. Other consumers and many AT&T customers will end up waiting until late April.
The iPad will feature 12 applications specifically designed for the iPad, as well as most of the 150,000 apps currently available for iPhones. However, one big app that will be left out is Adobe Flash. Even still, Apple's CEO Steve Jobs was still excited and hopeful.
"iPad is something completely new. We're excited for customers to get their hands on this magical and revolutionary product and connect with their apps and content in a more intimate, intuitive and fun way than ever before."
