Apple iTunes Turns To Live Music Digital Retail
iTunes, the online music digital media retailer, has tapped into live digital music sales.
The Apple media player, as confirmed by Wired.com, now features a new "Live Music" section offering live performance recordings to the public.
Partnering with live events promoter Live Nation, besides archived material pulled from live Apple in-store performances, featured will be exclusive concerts recorded from the company's related music venues. Live video footage has also been made available on iTunes, and an application for the iPhone can be obtained.
The new iTunes Live Music concert audio and video range in prices that are economically feasible, and lower than the real average price of a concert ticket.
The Apple iTunes digital media player application made its debut in 2001.
