Apple Provides iTunes in Mexico
Apple has finally crossed the border. The technological power house will finally be offering iTunes store in Mexico, according to Billboard.
The Mexican iTunes will still include all the same music available in the United States and the 77 other international countries Apple's iTunes is available in. Musical artists native to the region will also be available for download on iTunes, including Paulina Rubio, Vicente Fernandez and Zoe. Podcasts will also be provided through the Mexican version. They will include shows from Televisa, MVS Television, El Universal and Grupo Reforma specifically Mexican-produced.
In addition, to music other applications and services normally available on other iTunes versions will also be available in Mexico. Pricing will also remain similar to the rates charged in U.S. dollars with a song download costing 12 pesos ($.91), 120 pesos ($9) albums and 24 pesos ($1.38) music videos. Along with music, iTunes gift cards will also be available at similar pricing and in 200, 300 and 600 pesos amounts.
