Applegate, Milano Each Receive a ‘Hall Pass’
Actresses Christina Applegate and Alyssa Milano have joined the cast of the latest Farrelly brothers comedy, entitled Hall Pass.
According to an article on HollywoodReporter.com, “Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis, Jenna Fischer, Amanda Bynes, Stephen Merchant, J. B. Smoove, Nicky Whelan and Derek Waters [are also] in the comedy, which began shooting Tuesday in Atlanta. The film centers on what happens when two husbands are given permission to go outside their marriages for guilt-free romantic liaisons for one week.”
In addition, the movie in production at New Line has also cast television and film actress Vanessa Angel and actor Larry Campbell in the movie.
Angel’s past credits include starring in the 1996 Farrelly brothers comedy, Kingpin, opposite Woody Harrelson, Randy Quaid, Bill Murray and Chris Elliott, and playing Lisa, the computer generated simulation of the perfect woman created by two socially inept high school students in the mid-'90s television series based on the hit 1985 film of the same name, Weird Science, and will next appear in the upcoming comedy, Cougar Hunting, opposite Lara Flynn Boyle.
While Campbell’s past credits include starring in the 2005 comedy, Wedding Crashers, opposite Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson, Christopher Walken and Rachel McAdams, the Showtime dramedy television series, Weeds, opposite Mary-Louise Parker, Elizabeth Perkins and Kevin Nealon and the ABC sitcom, According to Jim, opposite Jim Belushi, Courtney Thorne-Smith and Kimberly Williams-Paisley.
The HollywoodReporter.com article goes on to say, “Bobby and Peter Farrelly wrote the script with Pete Jones and Kevin Barnett and are producing with their Conundrum Entertainment partner Bradley Thomas.”
Yet, fans of Applegate will not have to wait for the theatrical release of Hall Pass to see the ex-Samantha Who? star on the big screen. She next appears in New Line’s romantic comedy, entitled Going the Distance, which will hit theaters in October. Applegate’s past film credits include starring in the 2008 musical comedy, The Rocker, opposite Rainn Wilson, Sudeikis, Will Arnett and Howard Hesseman, as well as the 2004 romantic comedies, Surviving Christmas, opposite Ben Affleck, James Gandolfini and Catherine O’Hara, and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, opposite Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and Fred Willard.
As for Milano, her past credits include starring as Samantha Micelli on the ABC sitcom, Who’s the Boss, the 1996 thriller, Poison Ivy II, opposite Johnathon Schaech and Xander Berkeley, the Fox prime-time drama, Melrose Place, the late Aaron Spelling-produced WB supernatural television series, Charmed, and she will next appear on the ABC comedy series, Romantically Challenged, and the indie drama film, My Girlfriend's Boyfriend.
